Dec 13 - What Would Jesus Buy?

Please join us on Saturday, December 13 (2008), from 7pm-10pm, as we watch and discuss the movie What Would Jesus Buy?. (Location TBA - so check back later for more info!)

What Would Jesus Buy? is a documentary that follows Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping Gospel Choir "as they go on a cross-country mission to save Christmas from the Shopocalypse: the end of mankind from consumerism, over-consumption and the fires of eternal debt!"

The film is produced by Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me), and is supposed to be very funny. So please join us as we watch this film and then spend some time discussing it, consumerism, and what this has to do with Christmas.

For more info on the movie, you can visit http://wwjbmovie.com/, or you can check out the film's trailor below. For information on the Buy Nothing Christmas movement, please visit http://www.buynothingchristmas.org/.

Sign-up information will be made available closer to the event, so be sure to check back here or at the Service Saturday board to make sure you don't miss it. And as always, if you have any questions, you can send us an email at service@the-embassy.org.

Good luck on your exams, and we hope to see you there!
